Your Questions, Answered

What documents do I need to get started?

Typically, you’ll need a valid photo ID, Social Security information, W-2s, 1099s, income records, and any documents related to deductions or credits. If you’re self-employed or own a business, bring your income and expense records as well. Not sure what applies to you? We’ll help you build your checklist.

Do you offer virtual or remote tax preparation?

Yes. You can securely provide your documents and complete much of the process remotely, making tax preparation convenient no matter where you are.

How long does it take to prepare and file my return?

Turnaround time depends on the complexity of your return and whether all required documents have been submitted. Once we have everything we need, we work to get your return prepared accurately and efficiently.

Do you prepare both personal and business tax returns?

Yes. We assist individuals, self-employed professionals, and business owners with a variety of tax preparation needs.

Can you help if I’m self-employed or an independent contractor?

Definitely. We can help organize your 1099 income, review eligible business expenses, identify potential deductions, and make the filing process much easier to manage.

Can you help me file taxes from previous years?

Yes. If you’ve fallen behind, we can help you work through prior-year returns and get your tax filings back in shape.

Can you file taxes for clients in other states?

In many cases, yes. If you earned income, lived, or worked in multiple states, we can review your situation and determine which state returns may be required.

Can you amend a tax return that was already filed?

Yes. If something was reported incorrectly or information was left off a previous return, we can review the situation and determine whether an amended return may be appropriate.

Can you clean up a return someone else prepared?

Yes. We can review a previously prepared return for potential errors or missing information and discuss whether any corrections or amendments may be needed.

What are your preparer fees?

Fees for personal tax preparation start at $350 and $400 for business tax preparation if paid up front. Banking and processing fees are added if fees are paid from your processed return.
